Hawkes paints in a few different styles including ‘Cubist Impressionism’, separating the colors of a scene and painting the elements using geometric shapes and lines. Another style Hawkes uses is “Nouveau 7”, where she borrows elements from Canada’s famed “Group of Seven” and the beautiful flowing lines of the turn of the century Art Nouveau moment.
